Who you are dealing with
sealed.today is operated by Maxime H based in France. Contact for any question, complaint or takedown request: hello@sealed.today. By claiming a pixel you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy.
What you are buying
One pixel on one UTC day, showing a colour and, on hover, the name, message, optional link and optional image you supplied. Each day has 50 pixels and no more. The price of the next pixel rises as the day fills. At UTC midnight the day seals: no further claims, no edits, no deletions.
You are buying a place on a web page for as long as the site exists. You are not buying a token, a share, a security, an asset, an NFT, ownership of anything, or any expectation of profit. Nothing here is an investment and nothing here is resellable. Do not treat it as one.
You must be 18 or older and legally able to enter a contract.
The headline of the day
Each day carries one headline. Until it is bought it shows whatever a public news feed was leading with. Clicking the dateline lets you replace it with your own line, your name and an optional link, for a price that starts at €20.
There is only one headline per day and it is not exclusive while the day is open: anyone else may take it from you, for the rest of that day, by paying at least 10% more than you did, rounded up to the next whole euro. Headlines are sold in whole euros only. If you are taken over, your headline is replaced and your payment is not refunded — you had the headline for the time you had it. At UTC midnight the standing headline seals with the day and can never be changed again.
The headline is your content and every rule below applies to it. In particular, a headline must not be presented as a factual news report by a publication that did not publish it, and must not impersonate a news organisation.
Your content
You keep the rights to the name, message, link and image you submit, and you grant the operator a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to display them on the site and in previews of the site. By submitting content you confirm that you own it or are allowed to use it.
Do not submit content that is:
- illegal, or that promotes or incites an illegal act;
- hateful, harassing, threatening, defamatory, or sexually explicit;
- infringing on someone else's trademark, copyright or image rights;
- someone else's personal data, submitted without their agreement;
- malware, phishing, or a link to either;
- deceptive impersonation of a person or organisation.
The operator may redact or remove any claim that breaks these rules, or that must be removed under a legal order, without notice and without refund. Report a claim to hello@sealed.today with the day and the pixel; reports are reviewed by a person.
Payment, refunds and your right of withdrawal
Prices are shown in euros and include any applicable tax. Payment is taken by Stripe at the moment of purchase and the pixel appears on the wall immediately.
Delivery is instantaneous digital content. By confirming a claim you expressly request that it be published at once and you acknowledge that you thereby lose the fourteen-day right of withdrawal that would otherwise apply to distance contracts for digital content under EU consumer law. Claims are therefore final and non-refundable.
Refunds are issued automatically, without you having to ask, in one case:
- the payment succeeded but what it bought could not be given to you — because the day sealed, or someone took that pixel, while you were in checkout. The full amount is returned to the original card.
Beyond that, if something has gone wrong, write to hello@sealed.today. Nothing in these terms limits any statutory right you have as a consumer.
Availability
The site is provided as it is, without warranty of uninterrupted availability. Days are sealed by a clock, not by a promise: if the site is unreachable while a day is open, that day may seal without you. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator's total liability in connection with the service is limited to the amount you paid for the claim concerned. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
If the site ends
The wall is intended to last. If it ever has to be shut down, notice will be posted on the site beforehand. A pixel is a place on a running web page, not a guarantee that the page runs forever.
Changes and law
These terms may change; the date at the top changes with them, and the version in force when you claimed is the one that governs that claim. French law applies. If you are a consumer resident in the EU you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country and may use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
